Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani introduced the Qur'an and the Etrath as a criterion for detecting deviation and like the nobility of the world. And, by expressing the need for religious education, it was necessary to train groups equipped with debate.

On the occasion of New Year's Eve, Qom's Governor, along with his deputies, met with Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani on Saturday (January 11, 1997) and presented a report on their annual performance. He further praised and thanked the authorities for the details of his statements.

Grand Ayatollah Fazel Lankarani, may his soul rest in peace, as having said: “You should change this day, the day of the martyrdom of Fatima Zahra (s.a.) into a second Ashura by holding mourning ceremonies and taking out processions into the streets.

Ayatollah Lankarani has explained to a visiting Sunni scholar from al-Azhar University that the Wahhabis and Takfiris are working against the fundamentals of Islam and their threat to Sunni and Shi’ite Islam is greater than the American threat to Islam.
